Dr George is a consultant cardiologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter hospital. He is an interventional cardiologist and his areas of interest are coronary angiography and angioplasty, intra-coronary assessment which includes intra-coronary physiology using pressure wire and intra-vascular imaging using IVUS and OCT. He is also a specialist in the management of chest pain, hypertension and breathlessness.
He graduated in 2004 from Kannur university, India. He did his early training at the Oxford deanery and then at the Wessex deanery. He was awarded an MD postgraduate research degree by the University of Hull and York on his research on the prevalence of glucometabolic disorders in acute coronary syndrome and their prognostic influence in the long-term cardiovascular outcome. He completed his cardiology training in the Northern Ireland deanery where he sub-specialised in coronary intervention during the last two years. He also completed an Interventional cardiology fellowship for 12 months at the Royal Bournemouth hospital.
